A well-established globally regulated Australian broker offering traders access to CFDs across Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit an Assistant Accounting and Finance Manager in our Malaysian office. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the Head of Finance in Australia, ensuring alignment on reconciliation, treasury, and finance expectations. Reporting to: Head of Finance
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the global reconciliation processes and involved teams based in Cyprus, Australia & Malaysia:
  • Monitor corporate & client balances with the platforms
  • Verify the tasks to ensure the execution of daily reconciliation process
  • Provide support to the reconciliation team by liaising with internal and external teams
  • Liaise internally with other departments for matters relating to finance and reconciliation
  • Treasury management and handling corporate and the clients' funds movements among the entities and financial institutions:
  • Manage and monitor daily the PSP, EMI and Banking settlement sand execution within preset limits and timeframes.
  • Overview and ensure the correct and timely execution of inter company transfers
  • Manage the Accounting:
  • Liaise with external accounting team to ensure correct data and information flow
  • Manage incoming and outgoing corporate payments○ Maintaining financial records
  • Assist finance head in developing and reviewing budgets, policies andprocedures, i.e. for reconciliation and treasury
  • Complete reporting as per agreed schedule
  • Maintain compliance with regulations
  • Participate in the audit of Group of Companies
  • General assistance to the finance department as per the ongoing requirements
Candidate profile:
  • University Degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field
  • Three years plus, post qualification experience
  • Strong financial accounting management capability within the finance industry
  • Experience in managing a teams
  • Deep knowledge of finance, accounting standards and processes, and statutory requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and reconciliation software and systems
  • Strong verbal and visual financial reporting skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organized and reliablez
  • Ability to adapt and work with people from different ethnic backgrounds
  • Membership of a professional accounting association (CA/CPA) or equivalent isan advantage
